Karter Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) help you to optimise your internal logistics operations. They have the same applications as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) but feature much more advanced navigation and automation systems. These robots navigate by mapping and recognising existing features in your building, so there is no need for lines or bar codes on the floor, or reflectors on the walls.
The LIDAR laserscanners of our Karters constantly scan their environment. This enables them to find their way around your plant using natural feature navigation, avoid obstacles and stop safely if there is an object or person in their way. Karters navigate autonomously, the central control software only has to specify the start and end points of each trip, over WiFi.
Setting up Karter is straightforward: you drive a unit around your building under manual control so it can scan the building and create a map. The map is then cleaned up and uploaded to the Karters. We, AGV Benelux, can provide on-site support for the system set-up.
The Karter Mono handles a wide range of loads, such as roller cages, boxes, tanks, etc.
Karter AMRs have laser safety scanners and advanced software for safe operation near people and objects.

Forklift drivers can be difficult to find and the work can lead to fatigue, mistakes and accidents. Karters provide an effective solution, working safely an efficiently around the clock.
Agility and safety
Karters can turn on the spot, to operate in crowded buildings and narrow aisles. The safety laser scanners prevent collisions. Karters can cope with ramps, doors and lifts.
Battery
The Battery Management System (BMS) optimises the charging cycle and the life of the batteries. Our LiFePO4-batteries avoid the fire hazards of Li-ion batteries.
Integration
Karter software interfaces with a range of ERP and warehouse management systems. The Bluebotics platform is also used by other materials handling systems, facilitating integration of solutions from multiple suppliers.
Flexible platform
All Karters are based on a modular design, using the same batteries, BMS, navigation and safety system. This platform is extended with model-specific features (lift, conveyor, etc.).
